Math: Grades 1-2

The math class where the answer matters less than how the kid got there. Number sense, addition, subtraction, place value, intro to multiplication, worked through with number lines on the floor and manipulatives in their hands. This is where a child learns that math is figuring something out, not memorizing what someone else figured out first.
